Star India introduced Star Reimagine Awards this year, an award show that will recognize creativity, and innovation in the use of integrated media in advertising campaigns aired during the VIVO IPL 2018 on Star India Network and Hotstar.

Advertising legend Sir John Hegarty and Piyush Pandey, acclaimed filmmaker Raju Hirani, marketing veteran Vibha Rishi, Digital evangelist Rahul Welde, and ad-man V Sunil were the members of the jury for these awards.

Over 300 campaigns by 120 brands were vying for the awards and these campaigns are the ones that were aired during the entirety of VIVO IPL 2018 until Friday May 25 on Hotstar and Star India Network. Storyboard caught up with the jury for their views on the award show.

Martech Marathon: 25 speakers targeting 25 unique business solutions

Vodafone Idea agr dues

The recently held Kyoorius Awards saw Ogilvy & Mather emerge as the biggest winner of the night. The agency took home a total of 27 Blue Elephants and 2 Black Elephants.

One of the top winning campaigns for O&M during the night was Vodafone India’s Sakhi campaign and the Reliance General Insurance’s Holi Not Hooliganism campaign. Both these campaigns also helped the agency win one Black Elephant each.

Early Man Film was the second most awarded agency. They won One Black and Six Blue Elephants for their ‘The Story of Kaveri’ initiative.

The highpoint of the event was when The Master of Creativity award was presented to Amitabh Bachchan for his immeasurable contribution to advertising communication, reports Ankita Saxena.

Brooke Bond Red Label’s ‘Isspecial band’ is back with specially-abled teens

The much celebrated Brooke Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band is back in its second avatar as the ‘Isspecial band’, this time featuring six talented specially-abled teenagers in six videos with one celebrity in each.

In 2016, Brooke Bond Red Label’s unique initiative the 6-Pack Band featuring six transgenders not only won hearts across the country, but also brought home the coveted Grand Prix in the Glass Lion category at Cannes Lions.

This year, the first song of the new series titled ‘Jhakkad Pakkad Dance’ was launched last month on the occasion of World Autism Day and has already received a few million views on YouTube. It features six teens between the ages of 13 to 18 with special needs, but incredible music skills, drive and passion. Director-producer Karan Johar, who feels deeply for the cause, joined the bandwagon, with a voice-over for the first video.
