ICICI Bank | Net profit at ₹10,757.5 crore compared to a CNBC-TV18 poll of ₹10,323.3 crore. Net Interest Income of ₹19,092.8 crore is also higher than the poll estimate of ₹18,982.3 crore. Gross NPA at 2.16% from 2.3% in December. Net NPA at 0.42% from 0.44% last year. Slippages at ₹5,139 crore from ₹5,714 crore sequentially. Net Interest Margin flat quarter-on-quarter but down 50 basis points year-on-year. Management said that there are ongoing discussions with the RBI with regards to IT infra and they get feedback from time-to-time. The management also expects NIMs to remain rangebound till there is a change in repo rates.
Maruti Suzuki share price target
Maruti Suzuki | Net profit at ₹3,877.8 crore, lower than the poll of ₹4,104 crore. Margin misses estimates by 120 basis points to 12.2%. Year-on-year, margin improved by 170 basis points. Also declared a dividend of ₹125 per share. Profit growth of 47.8% from last year but kept in check due to higher tax expenses.
HCL Tech stock
HCLTech | FY25 revenue growth guidance seen at 3-5% year-on-year, lower than CNBC-TV18’s poll of 5% – 7% growth. Constant currency revenue growth of 0.3% versus 6% in December and lower than poll of 0.4%. EBIT margin of 17.6% also lower than estimate of 18.3%. Management said that the growth guidance issued by the company is back-ended. Subdued guidance due to one large project moving offshore which will impact Q1 performance and an additional headwind of 80 basis points in Q2 due to Statestreet BPO JV exit.

Write-offs at ₹721 crore from ₹356 crore.

Net Interest Margin at the lowest in four years. Annualised credit cost remains elevated at a nine-quarter high of 7.6%. Cards receivables at ₹50,846 crore, up 25% year-on-year. Gross NPA at 2.76% from 2.64%, while Net NPA at 0.99% from 0.96%.

Persistent Systems | US Dollar revenue growth of 3.4% from the December quarter to $310.9 million. Revenue in rupee terms up 3.7% quarter-on-quarter to ₹2,590.5 crore. Board recommended final dividend of ₹10 per share. Total order booking for the quarter stood at $447.7 million.
Sterling & Wilson | Revenue growth of over 50% to ₹3,035 crore. Turns EBITDA positive with a ₹54 crore figure in financial year 2024, aided by the growing domestic EPC business. Achieved gross margin in excess of 10% for the year. Unexecuted order value has grown 64% with net debt reduction by over 90%. Unexecuted order book at over ₹8,000 crore.
HDFC AMC | Quarterly average AUM at ₹6.12 lakh crore, up 11% sequentially. Market share improves marginally to 11.3% from 11.2% in December. Equity AUM grew by 15.5% quarter-on-quarter. Also declared dividend of ₹70 per share.

The purchase will help UltraTech strengthen its presence in the Maharashtra market.
Hero MotoCorp | Inaugurated a product assembly facility in the country. Also launched four of its globally popular products, which will be assembled locally at the new assembly facility located in the CG Industrial Park in Nawalparasi. The facility will have a capacity of 75,000 units.

The company expects growth in the current financial year to be better than the previous year. Attrition fell further to 12.5%. Already visiting colleges to hire fresh graduates. Brokerage JPMorgan upgraded the stock to “overweight” but Nomura has maintained its “Reduce” rating.

Anand Rathi Wealth | Revenue grew by 35% during the quarter to ₹752 crore, while net profit after tax increased by 34% year-on-year. Assets Under Management grew by 52% from last year to ₹59,351 crore. The board has announced a buyback of equity shares through the tender offer route. The company intends to buyback 3.7 lakh equity shares or 0.88% of the total equity at a price of ₹4,450 per share, which is a 9.9% premium to Friday’s closing price. Additionally, the board has also declared an interim dividend of ₹9 per share.

Patanjali Foods | Prices of edible oils in India remained stable and rebounded from low levels. Revenue of Food & FMCG business remained resilient and accounted for more than 30% of revenue from operations and maintained stable EBITDA margin. Doodh biscuits became a ₹1,000 crore brand in FY24. Sale of ghee and dryfruits remained steady. Strategically realigning its portfolio to within the Food & FMCG sector to cater to evolving consumer preferences.

Kolte-Patil Developers | Highest-ever annual sales value of ₹2,822 crore, a growth of 26% from last year. Highest ever annual sales volume of 3.92 million square feet, up 20% year-on-year. Launched projects with Gross Development Value of ₹3,800 crore during the financial year. Collections up 9% for the year at ₹2,070 crore, also the highest ever. Realisations for the March quarter are down 5% to ₹7,226 per square feet from ₹7,579 in the December quarter and are flat compared to last year.

Aster DM Healthcare | Company declared a special dividend of ₹118 per share post receipt of proceeds from the sale of its GCC business. The special dividend will be paid within 30 days from the day of declaration. Record date for the special dividend has been fixed at April 23.
Granules India | Unit V facility in Vishakapatnam inspected by USFDA and issued zero observations. The unit manufactures APIs and formulations for oncology and non-oncology products and was inspected between April 8-12.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders | Annual turnover for financial year 2024 crosses ₹3,400 crore, which is the highest ever in the company’s history. On a year-on-year basis, the turnover grew by 33%.

Mahindra & Mahindra | Promoter group to sell 93 lakh shares via block deal. Price range for deal fixed between ₹1,911.5 to ₹1,970.65 per share, which is at a 0% to 3% discount to Wednesday’s closing price. As of December, promoter group holds 19.32% stake in the company. The company also clarified that the share sale is to meet some liquidity needs and they do not intend to sell any further stake in the foreseeable future.
NLC India | Government to offload 7% stake via an Offer for Sale. The government will sell 5% stake with a green shoe option of another 2%. The floor price for the OFS has been fixed as ₹212 per share, which is a 6.2% discount to Wednesday’s closing price. The government currently owns 79.2% stake in NLC India. The stock has risen 175% in the last 12 months.
Asian Paints | Wholly-owned subsidiary entered into requisite agreements with Gujarat Chemical Port Ltd. to set up an ethylene storage and handling facility in Dahej. As part of the agreement, Asian Paints (Polymers) Pvt. Ltd. will provide GCPL a security deposit of ₹460 crore, which will be refunded over a 17-18-year period, which will be in addition to the cost of setting up the VAM and VAE manufacturing facility. Asian Paints had earlier announced that the subsidiary will be setting up a facility for manufacturing VAM and VAE at Dahej at an approximate cost of ₹2,100 crore.
UPL | Wholly-owned subsidiary UPL Corporation Ltd. and Masarrah Investment Company have entered into a share subscription agreement to set up a manufacturing complex in Saudi Arabia for the production of phjosphate, cyanide and chlorine value added products to create a diversified export portfolio. UPL Arabia will issue shares to UPL Corp and MIC. Post the issuance of new shares, UPL Corp will hold 85% equity, while MIC will hold 15% in UPL Arabia.
Hindustan Aeronautics | Has signed an amendment to the LCA IOC contract, where the value has been revised higher to ₹5,078 crore from ₹2,701 crore.
Prestige Estates | Launches luxury residential project Prestige Somerville in Bengaluru comprising of 306 apartments across two high-rise towers with a revenue potential of ₹800 crore.
Subex | Bags deal worth $2.2 million with leading telecom operator in Southeast Asia for business assurance and fraud management solutions.
Jupiter Wagons | The Ministry of Railways has placed an offer to manufacture 2,237 BOSM Wagons for a contract value of ₹956.87 crore.
GPT Infraprojects Limited | GPT has secured a significant contract worth 135 Crore from North Central Railway, Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The contract involves various construction works, including earthwork, bridge construction, track linking, and other ancillary tasks. GPT will execute the project in a joint venture, holding a 51% share. No related party transactions are involved in this contract.
Karur Vysya Bank | Karur Vysya Bank has announced revisions to its Base Rate and Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR), effective from March 13, 2024. The existing Base Rate of 11.40% will be revised to 11.45%, while the current BPLR of 16.40% will be adjusted to 16.45%.
LIC | Has increased its stake in LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management to 44.61% from 40.93% earlier via private placement basis. The company has acquired 959 shares at a price of ₹2,60,818 each.

SJVN | Wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Ltd. bags full 200 MW capacity in the tariff bid competitive bidding conducted by GUVNL for development of solar power projects in the 1,125 MW GSECL Solar Park at Khavda. Tariff for the same will be ₹2.66 per unit and the project will be built on Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis. The tentative cost for construction and development of this project will be ₹1,100 crore.
NTPC | Board accords investment approval at an appraised current estimated cost of ₹17,195.31 crore for Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2×800 MW).
Brigade Enterprises | Launches new residential project Dioro@Brigade El Dorado at Aerospace Park in North Bengaluru, spread over half a million square feet and 525 2 and 3 BHK flats in two towers, with a total revenue potential of ₹380 crore.
Swan Energy | SLPL, subsidiary of the company, has pre-paid its entire loan, along with interest till date, to a consortium of banks, worth nearly ₹2,206 crore. With this, the current group debt is now at ₹1,675 crore from ₹4,128 crore in September 2023.

Bharti Airtel | Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, in an exclusive conversation with CNBC-TV18 said that the company is looking at an Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) of ₹300 by the end of financial year 2025. He is hopeful of starting with an ARPU of ₹250 this financial year. He further said that SATCOM is an exciting area and they are excited to start operations in Gujarat. On the content front, Mittal said that they will partner with content providers but not get into content themselves.

Vedanta | Supreme Court rejects plea to reopen Sterlite Copper smelter at Tuticorin.
Biocon | Biocon Biologics signed a settlement and license agreement with Janssen Biotech Inc. and Johnson & Johnson that clears the way to commercialise Bmab 1200, a proposed biosimilar to Stelara in the US market. The agreement licenses the company to launch in the US in February 2025, once approved by the USFDA. The regulator has accepted the Biologics License Application for review. Stelera is a monoclonal antibody medication preventing the abnormal regulation of interleukin associated immune diseases and has been approved for the treatment of psoriasis, Crohn’s disease ulcerative colitis, plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Stelara had sales of $7 billion in the US market in 2023. Additionally, The USFDA has also issued a form 483 with four observations for Biocon Biologics’ facility, which it inspected between February 20-28, 2024.
Suven Pharma | Board approves merger of Cohance Lifesciences with itself. Cohance shareholders to get 11 equity shares of Suven for every 295 held. The merged entity will have three segments, Pharma CDMO, Specialty Chemical CDMO and CPI. The merged entity will also add an antibody drug conjugate segment. The proposed merger is said to be double-digit EPS accretive from first year of being effective.

Aurobindo Pharma | USFDA issues form 483 with seven observations to the injectable facility of Eugia SEZ, a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of the company. The unit was inspected between February 19-29, 2024. The observations are procedural in nature and will be responded to within the stipulated time.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) | L&T has commissioned its first domestically manufactured electrolyser at the Green Hydrogen Plant in Hazira, Gujarat. This electrolyser, electrolyser boasts a rated power capacity of 1 MW, expandable to 2 MW, and is capable of producing 200 Nm3/Hr of hydrogen. 
MOIL Limited | Effective from March 1, 2024, the company has announced revised prices for various grades of Manganese Ore and other products. The prices for all Ferro grades of manganese ore with Manganese content of Mn-44% and above remain unchanged from February 1, 2024. However, prices for other Ferro grades of manganese ore with Manganese content below Mn-44% have been increased by 5% compared to the previous month. Similarly, prices for SMGR (Mn-30% & Mn-25%), Fines, Chemical grades, and EMD will continue at the prevailing rates since February 1, 2024.
Tips Industries | Expands agreement with Warner Media, which gives the latter access to Tips Music’s full extensive catalogue globally. Warner Music has been exclusively distributing Tips Music’s 13,000+ strong Hindi Catalogue since 2020. The new deal will now see Warner Music take on commercial distribution responsibilities for all Tips Music’s frontline and catalogue music on all audio streaming apps, spanning across 23 Indian languages and over 30,000 songs.
Kesoram Industries | Signs facility agreement to avail financial assistance or loan worth ₹1,850 crore from Tata Capital, Tata Capital Housing Finance & Hero Fincorp. Also signs agreement to refinance existing debt, transaction and other expenses.
Pidilite | Appoints Sudhanshu Vats as Managing Director designate from April 2025. Kavinder Singh appointed Joint Managing Director from April 2025. Both will take charge after Bharat Puri’s term ends.
Chalet Hotels | To acquire 100% stake in Ayushi and Poonam Estates LLP, the owning entity of Courtyard by Marriott, Aravalli Resort in the NCR. The transaction will be worth ₹315 crore and is likely to be completed by March 10, 2024. Courtyard by Marriott, Aravalli is a 158 room hotel with two restaurants and two bars.

Stocks To Watch: Zee Entertainment, ICICI Bank, Cipla, IDFC First Bank, Tata Motors and more

Zee Entertainment | $10 billion merger with Sony Pictures, in the works since 2021 stands terminated after Sony issued a termination notice to Zee. Sony said that merger did not close by the end date as closing conditions were not satisfied and it does not see any material impact on financials due to the termination. Sony has also demanded $90 million on alleged breach of terms. Zee says the board is evaluating all steps, including legal action. The stock is in the F&O ban.
ICICI Bank | Core operating profit growth of 10.3% year-on-year is the lowest in 17 quarters. NIMs at a five quarter low of 4.52%. Gross and Net NPA is the lowest in nine years or more. Deposit growth of 18.7% year-on-year is the second highest in 11 quarters but on a sequential basis, its the lowest in six quarters. RBI norms meant Risk-Weighted Assets to advances ratio is at a 14-quarter high.

US sales above $200 million for four quarters in a row. India business grew by 11.6% from last year, while North America grew by 19.8%.

Colgate-Palmolive | Revenue of ₹1,396 crore, higher than estimate of ₹1,375 crore. EBITDA up 30% to ₹468.4 crore, higher than estimate of ₹434 crore. EBITDA margin of 33.6%, higher than estimate of 31.5%. Gross margins are up 630 basis points to 72.2%. Toothpaste segment achieved double-digit growth with positive volume expansion.

Zensar Technologies | Furloughs in Q3 deeper and wider than those seen last year. Revenue impacted by seasonal furloughs. US Dollar revenue down 3.8% to $144.5 million. Net profit down 7% to ₹1671.7 crore. Management sees a mixed bag in terms of furloughs in Q4. Margins at 17.2% compared to management guidance of mid-teens.
IDFC First Bank | Net Interest Income up 30.5% year-on-year, while Net Interest margin at all-time high. Loan growth of 27.3% year-on-year, while deposit growth is up 32% from last year. Slippages rise sequentially to ₹1,422 crore from ₹1,354 crore.
