The company will be hosting the sale starting on April 4 on its website and on the websites of its online retail partners. Redmi Note 6 Pro

Originally priced at Rs 15,999, the company is offering the phone for Rs 10,999 at the fan festival.

After launching several smartphones in just three months — Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Redmi 7 and Redmi Go — Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is gearing up for another launch in 2019. According to a report by GizmoChina, the company is set to unveil Mi 9X in China.

The successor to Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9X sports a curved design along with an illusion of holographic finish, according to the report. The phone is expected to have a triple rear camera, which will include an 8-MP sensor and a 13-MP super wide-angle lens along with the 48-MP primary camera. The phone will have a 32-MP selfie camera.

The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 and will have two storage variants — 4GB and 6GB of RAM.

According to the report, the phone will feature the Xiaomi’s new anther technology which has a double cooling system.

The phone runs on android 9.0 Pie and is expected to have a 3300mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging support.

MI 9x will be launched at a starting price of CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs 17,500).

Huawei on Tuesday launched its next generation of flagship smartphones — P30 and P30 Pro.

Throwing shade at Huawei, Xiaomi shared on Facebook a screenshot from the live-stream of Huawei’s launch event held in Paris.

“Is this really necessary?” Xiaomi captioned the screenshot that showed Huawei highlighting the prices of their latest smartphones.

While Xiaomi priced Mi9 at 499 euro, Huawei launched P30 for 799 euro.

Comparing Mi9 with Huawei P30, Xiaomi wrote: “We really believe in giving you amazing products at #HonestPrices. Do you think a flagship smartphone should cost you a fortune? #Mi9.”

Recently, the company had stated that the camera of its Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone was better than the iPhone X line-up and OnePlus 6T.

According to media reports, Chinese smartphone major Xiaomi is likely to launch their Redmi Note 7 Pro globally with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor rather than the Snapdragon 660 SoC, reports said.

In India, the Redmi Note 7 is expected to be sold at a starting price of Rs 10,500 for the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage, Rs 12,500 approximately for the 4GB RAM version with 64GB storage and Rs 14,500 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage option.
