RailTel shares up 16% in three sessions after third order win in a week

Shares of state-run RailTel Corporation of India gained as much as 8% on Monday before giving up some of the gains after the company won another order over the weekend, its third in the last seven days.
The company informed the exchanges that it won a work order from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance of HMIS for the Health Department of the BMC. The order value is worth ₹351.95 crore.
On Saturday, the company won a work order from the State Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council worth ₹130 crore.

Before this three-day surge, shares of RailTel had declined 26% in the previous three sessions, including a 20% lower circuit amidst a broader sell-off in smallcap and midcap names, including railway stocks.
Shares of RailTel are currently trading 2.3% higher at ₹358.90. The stock has declined 27% from its recent peak of ₹491.
At current prices, the stock is trading at a price-to-earnings multiple of 33.28 times for the financial year 2025, which is still higher than its five-year average multiple of 23.9 times.
