HCLTech and AWS join hands to develop GenAI-led tools and solutions for clients

Noida-headquartered IT services provider HCL Technologies and New-York based Amazon Web Services (AWS) on May 6 announced a collaboration to develop a structural framework that enables the co-creation of customized GenAIled solutions and offers clients flexible consumption models.
“HCLTech and AWS will help enterprises explore and develop GenAI-led use cases, proofs of concept, tools and solutions,” the firms said in an exchange filing.
The companies will work together to implement AWS GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Titan for enterprises across multiple industries to add to the momentum of their digital transformation journeys.
Leveraging HCLTech’s full technology stack, core engineering capabilities and AI experience, this alliance will allow clients to see the impact of their GenAI investment and gain early access to AWS’s advanced GenAI services, the statement added.
“This strategic collaboration agreement seeks to help enterprises unlock the value of GenAI by empowering them to reshape business models, elevate customer experiences and foster growth,” said Prabhakar Appana, Senior Vice President and AWS Global Head, HCLTech.
HCLTech, in its statement, said it offers end-to-end AI capabilities, from chip development to business process optimization. Leveraging strategic partnerships with AWS and many others, HCLTech is paving the way for the adoption of generative AI across industries.

The development comes weeks after an AWS survey said that almost all employers (99%) envision their companies becoming AI-driven organisations by 2028.
While most employers (97%) believe their finance department will be the biggest beneficiary, they also foresee IT (96%), research and development (96%), sales and marketing (96%), business operations (95%), human resources (94%), and legal (92%) departments driving significant value from AI, the survey had said.
HCLTech shares traded half a percent higher at ₹1,354.65 on BSE at 1:22 pm.
