Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has been appointed as the brand ambassador to increase the voter turnout for the Lok Sabha general elections in Gurugram that are scheduled for May 25.
The Deputy Commissioner Gurugram took to X (formerly Twitter) to post about Chahal’s appointment.
In the letter that the Commissioner posted on X he wrote:
“Dear Yuzvendra,
I am pleased to appoint you as the District SVEEP Brand Ambassador for the upcoming Parliamentary elections 2024 in District Gurugram. We believe that your role as the SVEEP Ambassador will greatly contribute in raising awareness and promoting active participation in the electoral process among the youth and the citizens of our district “.
