All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja top-scored for CSK with 43 runs off 26 deliveries, comprising three boundaries and a couple of maximums. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell chipped in with knocks of 32 and 30 runs respectively. Rahul Chahar and Harshal Patel were the pick of bowlers, conceding merely 47 in their combined eight overs and notching six dismissals in return.
Along with Dhoni, Shivam Dube, too, went back into the pavilion without opening his account for the second game in a row. Sam Curran delivered a fine spell where he picked one wicket in his four overs for 34 runs. Arshdeep Singh went for 42 runs in his 24 deliveries, but got the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane and Jadeja too.
