Daryl Mitchell was hammered for 52 runs off his four overs, whereas Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner combined a total of 60 in their 24 deliveries.
Tushar Deshpande was the pick of the bowlers for the two wickets he took in his four overs for 33 runs, whereas Shardul Thakur was economical in conceding only 25 in his entire quota as well. However, the GT opening duo targetted their bowlers and tore them apart with their exceptional range hitting skills.
Sudarshan creates unqiue record
During the innings, Sudarshan also became the fastest Indian player to score 1000 runs. Sudarshan reached the feat in his 25th innings in the competition, trailing only the likes of Shaun Marsh, Lendl Simmons, and Matthew Hayden in this coveted list. Sudarshan has thus broken the previous joint-best record set by Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad (31 innings), to become the top-ranked Indian in this club.
