“Members are requested to note that Exchange shall be conducting a special live trading session with intra-day switch over from Primary site to Disaster Recovery site on Saturday, March 02, 2024, in Equity and Equity Derivatives segments,” according to NSE.

All securities, including those with derivative products, will have a maximum price band of 5%.

Securities already in 2% or lower price band, will continue to be available in the respective bands, the NSE circular stated.

Price bands of 5% will be applicable on all close ended Mutual Funds, the statement read.

All futures contracts will have daily operating range of 5%.

The circular also noted that no flexing of securities or futures contracts will be applicable on that day.

What is flexing?

Typically, when the market price of, say, a stock nears the upper or lower limit, the exchange may decide to relax the limit and let trading continue. The process is called ‘flexing’ and it won’t be available on May 18.
