Gujarat Fluorochemicals Q4 net profit tumbles 70%, revenue slips 23%

Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd (GFL) on Monday (May 6) reported a 69.6% year-on-year (YoY) drop in net profit at ₹101 crore for the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2024.
In the corresponding quarter, Gujarat Fluorochemicals posted a net profit of ₹331.9 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations dropped 23% to ₹1,133 crore against ₹1,471.4 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA tanked 55.1% to ₹237.6 crore in the fourth quarter of this fiscal over ₹529.3 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

The EBITDA margin stood at 21% in the reporting quarter against 36% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
GFCL EV, a 100% subsidiary of GFL, announced the commissioning of the initial phase of its integrated battery materials manufacturing facility.
The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd ended at ₹3,604.75, up by ₹22.75, or 0.64%, on the BSE.
