Ram Navami 2024: No VIP darshan at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya; check details here
Summary
No passes such as Sugam Darshan Pass, VIP Darshan Pass, Mangala Aarti Pass, Shringar Aarti Pass and Shayan Aarti Pass will be issued from April 16-19 at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The Ram Temple Trust has issued an advisory urging all dignitaries and VIPs to visit Ayodhya only after April 19. This comes ahead of the Ram Navami celebrations on April 17.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said that special arrangements have been made to handle the rush of devotees on the first Ram Navami (April 17) celebrations after the grand opening of the temple in Ayodhya in January this year.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the trust, said that it would be impossible to accord protocol to VIPs and eminent personalities planning to visit the temple between April 16-19, and they would have to join the queues like other devotees.
“All special pass bookings for Darshan and Aarti etc., from April 16th to April 18th have already been cancelled. Everyone will need to follow the same path,” the temple trust informed in a post on social media site X.
Timings
During the Ram Navami celebrations, the gates of the Ram Mandir will be opened at 3:30 am and will remain accessible throughout the day, except for brief intervals for the bhog offering. The temple gates will remain open till 11 pm. Usually, the gates will be closed by 9:30 pm on normal days.
“No passes such as Sugam Darshan Pass, VIP Darshan Pass, Mangala Aarti Pass, Shringar Aarti Pass and Shayan Aarti Pass will be issued on April 16, 17, 18 and 19. This means all special privileges will be cancelled during these days,” the temple trust said.
Live Broadcast
All the events at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir will be shown on around 80-100 LED screens across the Ayodhya municipal corporation area. “This initiative is undertaken by Prasar Bharati,” the trust said.
Service centre
The temple trust has even come up with a service centre for pilgrims. It was established at the foot of Sugreev Fort, opposite Birla Dharmashala, near the temple entrance.
Advisory on mobile phones
To streamline the visitor experience, devotees have been advised to deposit their belongings, including mobile phones, at the designated spots before entering the queues.
“Visitors are advised to keep their mobile phones, shoes, slippers, large bags, and restricted items securely and far away to facilitate a smoother darshan,” the advisory said.
