Chhattisgarh has 11 parliamentary constituencies, and the state has always seen a neck-and-neck battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. Voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh will take place in three phases. Starting from the Bastar constituency on Friday, April 19, polling for the second phase will be held on April 26 across three seats —Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Kanker. It will later be followed by the third phase on May 7, when people in the remaining seven constituencies — Surguja, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Krboa, Bilaspur, Durg and Raipur — will be eligible to exercise the right to vote.

Voting for the 2024 general elections in the state is taking place in three phases April 19, April 26 and May 7. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
In the 2019 polls, the state registered a total voter turnout of 71.64%.

The BJP is contesting all the 11 seats in the state alone and is hopeful of yet another dominating performance in the state, providing it the opportunity to secure a third consecutive term at the Centre.
The saffron party bagged 10 and nine seats in the 2014 and 2019 elections. If poll surveys are to be believed, the BJP might end up with a clean sweep in Chhattisgarh in the 2024 polls, allowing it to further strengthen its position in the state.
