Currently, BJP holds 40 seats in the 88-member Haryana state assembly, including support from two independent MLAs and one from the Haryana Lokhit Party. The Opposition has claimed that the government has lost its majority, but BJP maintains it still enjoys support from a majority of the MLAs.
Accusing the Congress of spreading false information, Saini stated that Congress often “fulfills the needs of MLAs,” adding that BJP is already in touch with them. He pointed out that BJP had won the floor test in the state assembly in March after the Opposition brought a no-confidence motion. Saini asserted that it is not BJP, but rather the Congress, which has lost citizens’ trust.
Saini also expressed confidence in BJP’s performance in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections later this year. He claimed that the Congress, despite being given several decades to serve the country, failed to ensure progress due to lack of proper policies or good intentions.
