UPSC 2023: Ananya Reddy leads Telugu candidates with third rank nationwide

The UPSC civil services final results for 2023 saw candidates from Telugu-speaking states come out with flying colours. Ananya Reddy, hailing from Mahabubnagar in Telangana, emerged as a standout achiever, clinching third rank at the national level.

The UPSC had advertised 1,105 vacant positions across various central government departments for roles such as IAS, IPS, and IFS. The selection process commenced with the preliminary examinations held on May 28, 2023, followed by the mains on September 15, 16, 17, and 23, and 24. The results of the mains were announced on December 8, paving the way for successful candidates to face personal interviews held between January 2 and April 9.
In total, the UPSC selected 1,016 candidates for the coveted positions, with 347 falling under the general category, 115 from EWS, 303 from OBC, 165 from SC, and 86 from ST backgrounds.
