The Delhi University (DU) will begin the admission process for the post-graduation (PG) programmes for the academic year 2024-25 from April 25. Those eligible can register for admission into the PG courses until May 25.
While addressing a press conference, Haneet Gandhi, Dean of Admissions, informed that the university will start the application process for the undergraduate (UG) courses in the second phase once the CUET-UG examinations are over, news agency PTI reported.
For admission to UG courses, the dates will be announced by mid-May, Gandhi said.
Admissions to all postgraduate programmes at Delhi University (including the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board) will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (PG) scores.
The application process at Delhi University will begin for admission to 82 courses. This time, the PG admissions also include courses like MA in Hindu Studies, MA in Public Health, MA in Chinese Studies, MA in Korean Studies and Master in Fine Arts.
Besides this, the university will also start registration for three BTech and a few integrated programmes.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the DU admission portal for updates and announcements related to admissions. Students are urged to carefully read the admission guidelines and instructions provided on the DU admission portal before applying and must check for the eligibility criteria for each course.

This year, admission to BA LLB programs is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), whereas the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) will be used for entrance to BTech programs.
In the 2024-25 session, the admissions will be done on 13,500 seats for the postgraduate courses (including Non-Collegiate Women’s -Education Board). Also, there are 120 seats each for three BTech and 60 seats each for BA LLB and BBA LLB courses, the news agency reported.
The CUET PG exam this year was conducted from March 11-28. In total, 190 universities, including DU, are participating in CUET PG this time.
On the other hand, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has received more than 13 lakh applications for the CUET UG this time.
