CBSE Board classes 10, 12 results 2024: Expected date May 20, how to check, and important details

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce Class 10 and Class 12 results likely on May 20.
“CBSE Board results for class X and XII are likely to be declared after 20th May 2024,” said the official website of cbseresults.nic.in.
The Classes 10 and 12 results will likely be declared on the same day.
The candidates can access and download their board results, once released on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in.
The students are required to have their roll number, school number and admit card ID to check the board results online.
The CBSE conducted the Class 10 examination from February 15 to March 13, 2024, while Class 12 exams were conducted between February 15 and April 2, 2024. To pass the board examination, the students must score at least 33% in each subject and total.
The exams were conducted in a single shift from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. Around 39 lakh students appeared for these exams this year across 877 exam centres in 26 countries.
Earlier, a fake notice suggesting the CBSE would announce results on May 1, 2024, circulated. However, the board has denied issuing any such notice or circular.
CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said that the results of Classes 10 and 12, 2024, will be declared in May.
This year, to tackle the traffic while checking the results, the CBSE board has decided to make the results available on the official website as well as multiple platforms like the DigiLocker website, DigiLocker mobile app and UMANG app.
The students should check the official website and its social media pages for the latest updates and information.
How to check the CBSE result (once announced):
Step 1- Visit the board’s official website or any other website mentioned above.
Step 2- On the homepage, click on the link for CBSE Result 2024.
Step 3- Log into the account using the credentials like roll number and other details and submit it.
Step 4- Class 10th and 12th results will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5- Download the results and take a printout because it is considered a provisional marksheet until the schools distribute the official ones.
