Roland Busch, the Global CEO at German technology and engineering major, Siemens said the he is ‘very bullish’ on India. Answering a question from CNBC-TV18, Busch said he strongly believes that India is doing all the right things.
To contextualise his comment, Busch said that the Indian government has worked on improving the logistics infrastructure and communication network in the country. Busch also said that the government’s drive to digitise the economy has moved at a really fast pace.
Speaking about the scope for Siemens’ role in India, Busch said that India provides a huge potential in times when people talk about resilience.
Busch added that India is taking off in a big way and the last few years have shown that India’s growth rates are amazing. Also, the country is manufacturing more and more high-quality and complex products.
Speaking about the democratisation of manufacturing technology, Busch said that thousands of medium-sized enterprises need to get access to manufacturing technology.
According to Busch, medium-sized companies in India may not need to jump to technology like Industrial Metaverse but they need to take smaller steps towards technology improvement like increasing the level of automation and bringing more digital design capabilities. These small steps for medium-sized enterprises increase productivity and capability.
