Nothing launches its latest TWS earbuds, Ear and Ear (a): Check launch price and availability
Summary
London-based tech brand Nothing unveiled its latest Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a), ditching numerical naming. Nothing Ear (a) offers a fresh design and affordability, catering to everyday users. Both models will be available from April 22, priced at ₹14,999 and ₹9,999 respectively.
London-based consumer tech brand Nothing on Thursday, April 18, revealed its latest generation of Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds — the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). Nothing has done away with the numerical nomenclature, which means the Ear is the successor to the Nothing Ear (2), while the Ear (a) is a more affordable variant.
Nothing announced its Q1 Community Update, streamed live from Tokyo, Japan.
Nothing said its latest earphones were a culmination of three years of research, design and engineering, and promises “an unparalleled listening experience for both audiophiles and casual users alike”.
Nothing Ear
Building upon its predecessor, Ear (2), Nothing Ear retains the brand’s iconic transparent earbud design while improving the audio experience — Nothing says the Ear has its most advanced driver system yet, delivering richer sound quality without compromising on performance. But watch this space for the review.
Richer Sound: According to Nothing, the Ear features a custom 11 mm dynamic driver crafted from premium materials, including a ceramic diaphragm for clarity and richness in sound. With improved airflow through additional vents, users can expect clearer audio reproduction.
Smart ANC: Nothing Ear incorporates intelligent noise-cancelling technology, with a new “Smart ANC” algorithm that adapts to environmental noise levels, offering up to 45 dB of noise cancellation. Adaptive ANC automatically adjusts to background distractions.
Improved battery life: Equipped with a larger battery, Nothing Ear delivers up to 40.5 hours of playback time with the charging case, and 8.5 hours on a single charge, with ANC off — a claimed 25% improvement over its predecessor. Additionally, fast charging capabilities provide 10 hours of listening time with just 10 minutes of charge.
Nothing Ear (a)
Designed for everyday use, Nothing Ear (a) combines striking design with powerful noise-cancelling capabilities to create the ultimate audio companion, Nothing said.
Fresh Design: Featuring a distinctive bubble design and vibrant yellow colour — a departure from the brand’s black and white aesthetics — Nothing Ear (a) stands out while maintaining a sleek and portable profile. With soft contours and a slim frame, Ear (a) offers both style and comfort, the brand claimed.
Enhanced Noise Cancellation: Employing the same Smart ANC algorithm as Ear, Nothing Ear (a) noise cancellation of up to 45 dB. Immersive Sound: With a new driver design optimised for deeper bass performance, Nothing Ear (a) delivers Hi-Res Audio Certified sound, compatible with high-resolution streaming over Bluetooth connections.
Availability and Pricing
Nothing Ear is priced at ₹11,999 and will be available for purchase starting April 29, while Nothing Ear (a), at ₹7,999 launches 22nd April. They will be available on Flipkart, Croma and Vijay Sales. The Ear and Ear (a) will be available at a special launch price of ₹10,999 and ₹5,999, respectively, on Flipkart.
